🪡 Step 1 – Cutlery Pockets

Base for all three pockets (make 1 red, 1 blue, 1 brown):

Baby Body (White swaddle)

  1. MR, 6 sc.
  2. inc around (12).
    3–6. sc around (12).
  3. (2 sc, dec) ×3 (9).
    8–10. sc around (9). FO. Lightly stuff.
    👉 This creates a cone-shaped wrapped body.

Baby Head (Skin tone)

  1. MR, 6 sc.
  2. inc around (12).
  3. (1 sc, inc) ×6 (18).
    4–6. sc around (18).
  4. (1 sc, dec) ×6 (12).
  5. dec around (6). FO. Stuff and sew to top of body.

Hair

  • Crochet a small half-cap in brown: MR, 6 sc → inc to 12 → inc to 18 → FO. Sew to forehead.

Assembly

  • Sew Baby onto crib.
  • Embroider a tiny nose and pink cheeks.
  • Attach crib with Baby to red pocket.

🙏 Mary

Body & Dress (White)

  1. MR, 6 sc.
  2. inc around (12).
  3. (1 sc, inc) ×6 (18).
  4. (2 sc, inc) ×6 (24).
    5–12. sc around (24).
    👉 For dress skirt: inc 2–3 sts at the front edge every row to form slight A-line flare.

Robe (Blue, make 2 panels)

  1. Ch 16, sc back (15).
    2–20. sc in rows until piece reaches full body length. FO.
    👉 Sew robe panels to Mary’s sides so they hang open down to hemline.

Arms (Skin tone → White sleeves → Blue cuffs) ×2

  1. MR, 6 sc.
    2–3. sc around (6) in skin color.
    4–6. sc around (6) in white.
    7–10. sc around (6) in blue. FO.

Halo (White)
