    • Slide loops off hook, re-insert in 1st loop, yarn over, pull through; repeat for 2nd & 3rd loops.
    • Continue sliding & pulling through to form a tube until cord measures 24 in / 60 cm.

  2. Tie extensions – At each end attach yarn; ch 40 (about 8 in / 20 cm), sl st back along chain, FO.
    • These cords are used to knot or bow the tie-back around the curtain.

(No I-cord handy? Substitute a firm chain-rope: ch to 24 in, sc in each ch across.)


2️⃣ Leaves (Make 12 – mix B & C)

Crocheted flat in one piece; no seaming.

  1. Foundation: ch 11.
  2. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch, hdc, dc × 6, hdc, sc. Do not turn.
  3. Row 2 (around opposite side): continue working into the unused loops of foundation ch → sc, hdc, dc × 6, hdc, sc. Join with sl st in first sc.
  4. Row 3 (border): ch 1, sl st in every st around (adds firmness). FO, leave 8 in tail for sewing.

3️⃣ Five-Petal Flowers (Make 8 in white)

  1. MR, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st into ring → 1 petal.
  2. Repeat step 1 four more times (5 petals). Pull ring tight, sl st to first petal base. FO, weave centre tail through to back.
  3. Center knot: with pale yellow make a French knot or sew a tiny satin stitch in middle.

4️⃣ Assembly

  1. Lay out vine: Place stem flat, arrange leaves alternately left–right every 2 in / 5 cm.
  2. Sew leaves: Whip-stitch base of each leaf onto one side of I-cord; tack tip to keep flat.
