Lantern Ribs (Make 6) – Orange

  1. Ch 45
  2. sc in 2nd ch and across (44)
    FO, leaving tail.
    👉 Wrap each rib around floral wire for stability.
    Attach evenly spaced between top & bottom rings. Bend outward to form pumpkin-like curves.

Netting (Black)

Cut black tulle strips. Weave or sew between ribs for see-through ghost cage look.

Handle – Orange

🌿 Curly Vines – Green

    FO. Shape into almond by pinching sides slightly when sewing.
    Attach to head. Embroider black outline if desired.

Pedestal (Brown)

    FO, stuff, and sew ghost on top.

Shaping Ridges

With orange yarn, pull long strands from top through bottom several times to create pumpkin ribs.

Stem – Green

Ch 4, sl st back across, sew to top.


🏷️ “BOO!” Sign

Base – White (puffy cloud)

  1. MR, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) repeat 6–8 times, join in round.
    This creates wavy edges.

Letters

Surface stitch or embroider “BOO!” in black.

String

Ch 20. Attach one end to sign, the other to top ring.


🛠️ Assembly

  1. Attach ribs to top & bottom rings, forming curved pumpkin cage.
  2. Weave/sew netting inside ribs.
  3. Place pedestal & ghost inside lantern, secure with glue or stitches.
  4. Attach curly vines to sides.
  5. Add pumpkins around base.
