✂️ ASSEMBLY ORDER

  2. ✅ Attach eyes (if using safety eyes)
  3. ✅ Sew on wings
  4. ✅ Sew on tail
  5. ✅ Attach beak
  6. ✅ Embroider brown cap on head
  7. ✅ Embroider brown cheek patches
  8. ✅ Add cream face and chest details
  9. ✅ Shape and fluff as needed

💡 Tips for Photo-Accuracy

  • Color placement is key! The brown cap, cheek patches, and cream face create the sparrow’s identity
  • Wing angle: Position wings angled back and slightly downward for natural look
  • Body shape: Make sure the bottom is fuller and rounder than the top
  • Tail position: Keep it low on the body, not sticking straight up
  • Gentle shaping: After assembly, gently squeeze and shape the bird to perfect the egg shape
  • Embroidery tension: Keep stitches neat but slightly loose for a fuzzy, feathered look

🎨 Customization Ideas

  • Make a whole flock with slight variations in brown placement
  • Add wire feet using brown craft wire wrapped in yarn
  • Create keychains by adding a loop to the top
  • Display on a branch with multiple birds
  • Seasonal variations: Add tiny scarves or hats for holidays

📸 Pattern Notes

This revised pattern creates the egg-shaped body, distinct color markings, and realistic wing structure visible in the reference photo. The key differences from generic bird patterns are:

  • Fuller bottom, tapered top
  • Flat, teardrop-shaped wings with visible stripe
  • Specific brown cap and cheek markings
  • Longer, fan-shaped tail
  • 3D beak rather than embroidered

Enjoy creating your tiny sparrow flock! 🌿✨
